Value Cut Out

| | , , ,

In these abstract drawings, we practiced different techniques of value: shading, crosshatching, and scumbling. Practicing value on white paper we created some free shapes. After filling two or three white paper we cut out some valued shapes and glued them on colored cardboard. The effect of these collages close to each other is very cool!

The shapes are organic or geometric, ordered following a pattern or assembled randomly in a free composition: the outcome is elegant, chaotic, dynamic, or still. Everyone expressed a very personal idea with an original composition.

Alla fine dell’esercizio abbiamo imparato a fare il chiaroscuro e ci siamo ritrovati con le mani coperte di grafite 😉
