How to paint the color wheel: video tutorial

| | , , ,

A new video tutorial from arteascuola.com, about how to paint the color wheel using Primary colours and mixing them to get Secondary and Tertiary colors. I spent some time to suggest the way you arrange the primary colors on the palette: it’s important to have enough paint and enough space in order to mix the colors properly. In this video I used Magenta Red, Primary Yellow and Blue Cyan, but it’s possible to use other kinds of red or blue. The most important thing is to know that red, yellow and blue are the primary colors.

The printable worksheet in pdf or jpg is available here. I suggest to print it on a white cardboard, suitable for acrylic, gouache or tempera painting.
