Delaunay in primary, secondary and achromatic colors

delaunay collage8

Here’s an exercise of painting, based on the colors primary, secondary and achromatic. Inspired by the works of Sonia and Robert Delaunay, these acrylic paintings were made by students of Grade 6th. After observing the features of the paintings of these two artists, we have drawn a series of rings and semicircles in pencil with the aid of a ruler and of a compasses. Rings had their center placed on a central line, straight, and slightly oblique. Later the drawing has been painted only with the primary colors, secondary, and achromatics.

  1. This is soooo much fun! Thank you for posting such quality work examples. My students and I just love seeing the projects your students produce. I will send some pictures of projects you have inspired with my art students very soon.
