I’m painting a guitar body of a Telecaster for my husband, inspired to a famous guitar decorated by Sara Ray. It’s a very interesting experience that reminds me my job in the restoration of ancient paintings. I’ve trying to paint it with special watercolors for woods, proceeding with transparent layers of color overlaid. The smooth surface of wood with its veining in evidence, is so interesting!
This is just the work in progress… I hope to finish it for my husband’s birthday! It will be a special guitar for a special man!
