An interesting experience with mixed media has been realized by students of grade 8. We studied the contrast between light and shadow and we drew a picture with sharp shapes in black and white. First we drew the figure on tracing paper with a black marker, copying it from a photo and making a clear distinction between lights and shadows. Afterward we drew a wall on a white sheet using the black ink with a stylus pen: to give an effect like “dirty” on the wall, we have buffered the ink drawing with a damp paper towel. To complete the drawing we added an inscription in “graffiti” style, writing our names with colored felt-tip pens.
Sono bellissimi! Good idea 😉
Ciao Miriam.

You would NOT believe the project that I just did with my students and how much it looks almost exactly the same! I swear I didn’t see this until now on Pinterest. Very amusing!
Hi Susan! Now I’m curious to see your works!! thanks for the comment and keep in touch, perhaps we’ll find other similar ideas! 😉
what did you use to affix the tracing paper “stencil” to the white “wall”??? glue?? acrylic medium?
Hi Carol! I used simple stick glue, the glue must be not too liquid… You could try and tell me if you find some other suitable material for glue it 🙂
I tried acrylic medium, thinking it would be the most transparent, but the tracing paper curled badly and the medium that squished out slightly was glossy and that bugged me too…. I will try the glue stick!! Thank you so much for your website. I truly love it. Greetings from California!!
Of course with stick glue will be better!
Thanks for greeting from California!! I would like to visit your country, it is one of my next plans!! 🙂
