I thought about an ancient (or modern ) architecture realized in 3D with pop-up cardboard: was a challenge for me understand how to realize a complicated architecture as the Colosseum in Rome, but is a geometrical and mathematical problem that we can solve even with student of grade 9. This pop-up needs an accurate project, so could be interesting to take up the challenge to create some famous architectures in 3d … I understood the trick .. and you?
Beautiful! I want to try it for myself!
That looks so great : ) I think as you've done yourself, I would need to first complete my own to fully understand all the "ins and outs" before attempting it with a class!
Yes Joe, off course I've done it before attempting with a class… and not just once!!! But when since I figured out how to do it I can do the same with many architectures, ancient and modern. The secret is to measure the distance from the bottom of the architecture (on the horizontal side) to the folder of the cardboard. Then you cut the same distance on the vertical side…. ok, it's no easy… especially because my English is so bad!! have a look to the posts with pop-up label! See you soon!!
Altra idea che sicuramente ruberò…appena troverò il tempo di provare come si fa. Un bacione.
Wow
