Inspired by Australian Aboriginal Art these cups of coffee reproduce some typical australian patterns and colours. We used oil pastels on wrapping paper for the drawings and patterns, then we colored with tempera colors using warm-earth colours. In the end we completed the paintings with the characteristic white dots, printing the color white with the bottom of a pencil.
These are impressive. I like many things, the brown paper, the oil pastels and the way you've used a pencil rubber to apply the dots.
Thanks for such a detailed post Miriam – I'm sure I could just show a class all your sequenced photos and they'd know exactly what to do without me saying much at all : )
Thank you Gretchen! Perhaps they applied too many dots… At the end I stopped them because they enjoy making dots! However the result is so decorative!!
Hi Joe! I thought that perhaps is better using largest sheets, simpler drawings and less dots!… though the result is quite decorative!! I'm very happy that you appreciate my sequenced photos! Thanks for your precious comment!
