After observing the Gothic stained glass with the students of ‘8th grade we made the “stained glass windows” of tissue paper. We started the elaboration of a photograph with the image of a flower. The shape and the colors were freely stylized and interpreted to reach the design of our window. After the execution of the model we have realized the structure, cutting out the black cardboard and pasting colored tissue paper to simulate the colored glass.
The effect is really elegant!

Miriam, I teach at a smaller Catholic School here in Kansas, USA now (I switched jobs) This stained glass art lesson is just what I was looking for! You always make such wonderful projects. Integrating Matisse and Chagall. You rock! Spero che tutto sia meraviglioso in Italia! Grazie e Dio vi benedica!
