A suit for Ghali

| | , ,

Ghali is a young Italian rapper loved by my students. He usually wears colorful jackets, shirts and suits. We created a collection of suits for him while we were working on patterns. First we created some patterns, with different techniques and colors. After that we cut out the suit’s shape from the photocopy of the singer in order to create a window. The picture has been pasted on the drawing of pattern to create the effect of a colorful suit.
Here below you can find my drawing, but you can do the activity with any celebrity.

Here you find the steps with the drawings of the patterns, the cut out and the assembly of the parts.

This original idea is from my colleague Alessandra Tomasi who created with her students the drawings you can see below :

Would you like to watch a videoclip? It is in Italian language, of course, and the title is “cara Italia”
