We used oil pastels on a black and white photocopy, and we imitated the unmistakable style of Van Gogh in “dashes”, to create a portrait of a famous person inspired by this great artist. Van Gogh has made a large number of self-portraits and portraits, and observing his masterpieces we have tried to identify the dominant features:
– Bright colors, very lively and sometimes unnatural
– Swirling strokes, applied to small dashes
The work was carried out in a class of 9th grade.
