Tangles shaded

To continue our work about gradients, with the students of grade 8, we have created this drawing of entwined ribbons. The drawing is made in pencil, and the background is colored with felt-tip pens, to bring out the shades of the ribbons. Prints inspired by the German Expressionist group “Die Brücke”

With pupils in Year 9 (classe 3) we made some lovely prints inspired by the German Expressionist group "Die Brücke". We have carved small plates of Adigraf (a special soft linoleum) with engraving tools and we printed the matrices on paper, with printing inks. Lights and shadows sharp

With the students of grade 8 (classe seconda B) we worked on the lights and shadows in the photograph. With the tracing paper and colored markers we have colored only the shadows, making these sharp and eventually using two colours.
