Animals decorated with mosaics inspired by Gaudi

The drawings of animals that you can find here, have been decorated with the mosaic technique with 9th grade students. After observing the decorations of the buildings of Antoni Gaudi, and in particular the Park Guell, we decorated these templates simulating the mosaic technique with felt tip pens. Here are some works of Gaudi decorated with mosaics:

The job was to make the idea of a mosaic surface, thereby complying with the distance between the tiles. Looking at the mosaics of Gaudi, we tried to start with a specific decoration (a flower, a star, a sun …) and then fill the whole surface following decorative patterns  soft and wavy.
